Five website-to-app tools sell a one-time or lifetime option: SiteTo.App, WebViewGold, Appilix, Natively, and AppMySite. First payments for both platforms ranged from $99 to $999 when we checked. The first payment is rarely the deciding number, though. Compare what later updates cost and who does the compiling and submitting.
Disclosure: SiteTo.App publishes this comparison and is one of the products included. Vendor prices were checked on each vendor's own page on October 31, 2026. AppMySite's publishing steps come from documentation last read October 12, 2026. Confirm current terms before buying.
One-time website-to-app converters compared
| Tool | First payment | 24-month cost, both platforms | What updates cost | Who compiles or submits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SiteTo.App | $29 Android, $79 iOS, $99 both | $99, plus any later rebuild | Website changes need no build; later rebuilds quoted separately | SiteTo.App builds; you submit |
| Appilix | Standard Combo $229; Premium Combo $439 | $229 or $439 | FAQ says future features and updates are included; its publishing add-on is charged again for store updates | You publish on Standard; its team submits on Premium using your account |
| WebViewGold | $154 per platform listed; $109 on sale when checked | $308 listed, $218 on sale | Page lists updates as free, subject to its terms | You compile in Xcode and Android Studio unless you buy Cloud Builder; Full Service is $399 listed, $349 on sale |
| Natively Lifetime | $699 | $699 | Plan lists unlimited builds and website sync | Paid plans provide binaries; publishing service starts at $600 |
| AppMySite Lifetime | Pro $999 for Android and iPhone; Starter $699 for Android only | $999 | Docs list unlimited Android and iOS builds on Pro | You submit Android; optional direct iOS publish feature |
These figures exclude Apple's and Google's developer fees, which you pay directly with any of these tools. Natively's page labels the plan "Lifetime" without stating the billing terms, so confirm it is a single payment.
Which one fits your project?
SiteTo.App has the lowest first payment here, and you can preview on your phone for free. The caveat is rebuilds. The fee covers that build, and later rebuilds are quoted separately. If you expect to change native settings often, or want rebuilds settled up front, weigh that against the options below.
Appilix is the plainest one-time pack: the Standard Combo covers one Android and one iOS app for $229. Premium adds store submission using your developer account, and you can read the details on its pricing page.
WebViewGold suits a developer who wants source code. It sells separate iOS and Android templates, and the standard route means compiling them yourself. It also advertises an approval guarantee backed by a refund within 14 days, and its FAQ limits refunds to rejections unrelated to your content.
Natively Lifetime costs more up front, and its feature list matches its Unlimited plan, including unlimited builds. Its pricing page also sells publishing help separately, starting at $600.
AppMySite Lifetime is the most expensive first payment here for both platforms, and its visual builder is the main reason to pay it. Its pricing page shows three lifetime tiers. AppMySite's help documentation says it retains ownership of the app and licenses it to you, so read those terms. Our SiteTo.App vs AppMySite comparison covers the details.
Is Median a one-time payment?
No, although the wording can suggest it. Median's pricing page lists a "one-time license activation fee," and then an annual fee starting 12 months later. Starter is $229 and then $179 per year, so one app costs $408 over two years, with the next $179 due at month 24. That annual fee also pays for ongoing compatibility updates. See our SiteTo.App vs Median comparison if that model appeals to you.
What a one-time payment does not cover
A one-time fee to a converter does not end your costs. Apple charges $99 per membership year, and Google lists a $25 one-time registration fee. Store requirements also change: our converter comparison lists the current SDK deadlines, and meeting them can mean a new build. Before you buy, ask each vendor who produces that build and what it costs.
Your website stays part of the budget too, because these apps depend on it. The website-to-app cost guide lists the other line items.
Common questions
What is the cheapest one-time website to app converter?
In this comparison, SiteTo.App has the lowest first payment: $29 for Android, $79 for iOS, or $99 for both. Later rebuilds are quoted separately, so the cheapest first payment may not stay the cheapest if you rebuild often.
Can I convert a website to an app with no subscription?
Yes. All five tools above offer a route without a monthly plan. You still pay Apple's annual membership if you publish on iOS, and you keep paying for your website's hosting.
Do lifetime plans include future updates?
It depends on the vendor. Appilix's FAQ and Natively's and AppMySite's plan details describe ongoing updates or unlimited builds, and WebViewGold lists free updates subject to its terms. SiteTo.App quotes later rebuilds separately. Read the terms for the exact plan you plan to buy.
Does any of these guarantee store approval?
Apple and Google make the decision, so no vendor controls the outcome. WebViewGold and Natively advertise guarantees, each with its own terms and scope. SiteTo.App does not guarantee approval.
